7 Maintenance

and Repair

Your QLS-4100 X is designed for long-life and trouble-free operation. In order to

keep your printer operating at optimal performance, some periodic maintenance

maintenance is required.

This chapter covers the following:

• List of recommended tools for performing maintenance and repairs.

• Procedure for cleaning the print stations.

• Procedure for replacement of a printhead.

• The drive roller, pressure roller, and platen rollers wear with normal use. When

print quality is degraded, it is recommended to replace one or more of these.

• Changing the fuse or line voltage.

• Perfoming a firmware upgrade.
